From the past, Ukraine has inherited a well-developed multifunctional higher education system based on the new methodological and legislative grounds. The education system of Ukraine is implementing a new concept of greater transparency and openness, democratic teaching principles, increasing professional and academic mobility of graduates and expert's training.
If you decided to obtain education in Ukraine, you automatically enter the international student community. In 2005, when the Conference of European Ministers took place in Bergen, Ukraine become party to the Bologna process. This higher education area embracing 48 participating European and nearby countries was developed to unite and harmonize different higher education systems in accordance with common academic and quality assurance standards. The resolution was aimed to strengthen relations between universities from different European countries and included such important steps as exchange of students, scientists and teachers and mutual acknowledgement of diplomas.
Due to this, the diplomas of Ukrainian universities are officially recognized on the global scale (the European University Association (EUA), the European Union (EU) and UNESCO). Furthermore, the level of education provided by participants is acknowledged equal.
